You may see irrigation systems at parks and along parkways during Stage 1 drought restrictions. Large irrigation customers such as the Highlands Ranch Metro District are authorized to water more than two days per week, while adhering to the Stage 1 goal of reducing water use 15-20%.

Due to the size and complexity of its system, the Metro District and other large irrigation customers such as golf courses and the school district cannot follow the two days per week watering restrictions. However, they will implement water conservation measures to meet the 15-20% reduction goal.
